CP Measurement in Quantum Teleportation of Neutral Mesons

Quantum teleportation using neutral pseudoscalar mesons shows novel connections between particle physics and quantum information. The projection basis, which is crucial in the teleportation process, is determined by the conservation laws of particle physics, and is different from the Bell basis, as in the usual case. Here we show that one can verify the teleportation process by CP measurement. This method significantly simplifies the high energy quantum teleportation protocol. Especially, it is rigorous, and is independent of whether CP is violated in weak decays. This method can also be applied to general verification of Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen correlations in particle physics.Comment: 7 page

Bitcoin Crypto - bounties for quantum capable adversaries

    Get PDF
With the advances in quantum computing taking place over the last few years, researchers have started considering the implications on cryptocurrencies. As most digital signature schemes would be impacted, it is somewhat reassuring that transition schemes to quantum resistant signatures are already being considered for Bitcoin. In this work, we stress the danger of public key reuse, as it prevents users from recovering their funds in the presence of a quantum enabled adversary despite any transition scheme the developers decide to implement. We emphasize this threat by quantifying the damage a functional quantum computer could inflict on Bitcoin (and Bitcoin Cash) by breaking exposed public keys

Concentration dependence of the exchange interaction in Pb1-xEuxTe

    Get PDF
[[abstract]]From low-field measurements of the susceptibility at temperatures up to 385 K, fitted to the Curie-Weiss expression, the exchange constant J/kB of Pb1-xEuxTe has been obtained for different values of x. It has been observed that J/kB decreases with increasing x. Reasons for this decrease are proposed. Measurements of the low-temperature magnetization at fields up to 23 T yield a value of the pair exchange constant Jp/kB, which is somewhat larger than the values from the susceptibility measurements and is nearly independent of x. This result seems to be due to the clustering of Eu atoms.[[incitationindex]]SCI[[incitationindex]]EI[[booktype]]紙本[[booktype]]電子

The Size-Ramsey Number of 3-uniform Tight Paths

Given a hypergraph H, the size-Ramsey number ˆr2(H) is the smallest integer m such that there exists a hypergraph G with m edges with the property that in any colouring of the edges of G with two colours there is a monochromatic copy of H. We prove that the size-Ramsey number of the 3-uniform tight path on n vertices Pn(3) is linear in n, i.e., ˆr2(Pn(3)) = O(n). This answers a question by Dudek, La Fleur, Mubayi, and Rödl for 3-uniform hypergraphs [On the size-Ramsey number of hypergraphs, J. Graph Theory 86 (2016), 417–434], who proved ˆr2(Pn(3)) = O(n3/2 log3/2 n)

Effect Of Aspartame And Sucrose On Some Biochemical And Haematological Parameters In Wistar Albino Rats

    Get PDF
Effect of aspartame and sucrose on some biochemical and haematological parameters in wistar albino rats was studied. Sixteen rats were randomly assigned into four study groups. The rats in group 1, received a placebo of 5.0ml distilled water via gastric intubation. The animals in groups 2 through 4 were treated with 100mg aspartame/kg, 100mg sucrose/kg, or a combination of 100mg aspartame/kg + 100mg sucrose/kg, respectively, in a total volume of 5.0ml vehicle. The experiment lasted for 30days. One day after the final exposure, the animals were euthanized by inhalation of overdose of chloroform. Blood was collected by cardiac puncture into EDTA sterilized sample bottles. Protein free blood was prepared and used for the analysis of glucose while whole blood was used for hemoglobin andhematocrit analysis; serum was prepared by centrifugation and used for serum total protein levels. The brain of each rat was also harvested and processed into whole homogenate and used for the analysis of brain tryptophan and phenylalanine levels. The results showed that consumption of aspartame and sucrose inhibited protein and leukocytes synthesis, resulting in anemia, and bone marrow hypoplasia, and DNA dysfunction. The results also showed that aspartame and sucrose consumption inhibited hexokinase, resulting in inhibition of glucose uptake by hepatic tissues, leading to hypoglycemia, which has been linked with aggressive and violent behaviours, diverse personality, and psychiatric disorders such as neuroses, panic attacks, agoraphobia and schizophrenic episodes as well as neuronal disorders. The alterations had led to changes in behaviours including aggressive and violent behaviours .those foods seemed greatly to increase their restless and destructive behaviour of susceptible individuals

Error Analysis of Chinese Word Order of Indonesian Students 印尼学生汉语状语语序常见偏误分析

This study used comparative analysis to understand the similarities and differences of basic structure adverbial word order between Chinese language and Bahasa Indonesia. This study also analyzed Indonesian student's common errors in learning adverbial word order, and the result found that student's common error are adverbial clause of time, place, and preposition as adverbial word order. This research suggests teachers must emphasize the differences in the basic word order between Chinese language and bahasa Indonesia language first, then teach the differences of adverbial word. Teachers shoud encourage students to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, so they can overcome the differences between Chineseand Indonesia language, and reduce the errors in learning

Providing distributed certificate authority service in mobile ad hoc networks

    Get PDF
In this paper, we propose an architecture for providing distributed Certificate Authority (CA) service in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET), based on threshold cryptography. We have two major contributions: 1) we make use of the cluster structure to provide CA service, and design a scheme for locating CA server nodes in MANET; 2) we provide a proactive secret share update protocol, which periodically updates CA secret shares with low system overhead. Compared with existing approaches, our CA architecture provides faster CA services to user nodes at reduced system overhead. © 2005 IEEE.published_or_final_versio

Experiments with mixing in stratified flow over a topographic ridge

    No full text
The interaction of quasi-steady abyssal ocean flow with submarine topography is expected to generate turbulent mixing in the ocean. This mixing may occur locally, close to topography, or via breaking quasi-steady lee waves that can carry energy into the ocean interior. There is currently no theoretical, or empirically derived, prediction for the relative amounts of local and interior mixing. We report measurements of the mixing rate in laboratory experiments with a topographic ridge towed through a density stratification. The experiments span three parameter regimes including linear lee waves, nonlinear flow and an evanescent regime in which wave radiation is weak. Full field density measurements provide the depth-dependence of energy loss to turbulent mixing, allowing separation of the local mixing in the turbulent wake and remote mixing by wave radiation. Remote mixing is significant only for a narrow band of forcing parameters where the flow speed is resonant with internal waves; in all other parameter regimes local mixing close to the topography is dominant. The results suggest that mixing by local nonlinear mechanisms close to abyssal ocean topography may be much greater than the remote mixing by quasi-steady lee waves
